Our Pastor: Reverend Lakeisha Mobley

Reverend Lakeisha D. Mobley hails from Charlotte, North Carolina. She is the devoted mother of two adult sons, DeShawn and Jordan. Currently, she serves as the newly appointed Pastor of Kesler Chapel AME Zion Church, situated in Wadesboro, NC, within the Wadesboro-Monroe District of the West Central North Carolina Annual Conference in the Piedmont Episcopal District. Previously, she held the position of Pastor at Price Memorial AME Zion Church in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Lakeisha exemplifies transparent leadership, utilizing her personal experiences and testimony to illustrate the transformative power of faith. She is a devoted follower of the Lord, consistently seeking opportunities to share His message. Her passion extends to the youth and those who are underprivileged and underserved. In her spare time, she actively volunteers to assist both youth and adults in discovering improved pathways to living.
For the last 26 years, Pastor Mobley has been a professional in Corporate America, currently holding the position of Lead Product and Development Manager. She is the Founder and CEO of LDM Services LLC, as well as the creator of “It Startz With Me,” a non-profit mentoring initiative aimed at assisting young girls aged 9 to 18 in making informed decisions, improving their life choices, fostering strong self-esteem, and achieving their maximum potential. Additionally, Lakeisha is the esteemed author of the book “When the Soul Cries” and serves as a Chaplain on the Boards of Mothers of Murdered Offspring and Team TruBlue, both of which are non-profit organizations dedicated to combating violence in the Charlotte, North Carolina region.
Pastor Mobley possesses a Master of Science in Management and Leadership, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Management with a focus on Human Resources, both obtained from Montreat College. Additionally, she has earned a Business Analytics Nano Degree and holds several professional certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma Green Belt, Associate Professional in Human Resources, and SAFe Product Manager/Product Owner. Currently, Lakeisha is pursuing a Master of Divinity at United Theological Seminary.
She attributes all her successes and achievements to Jesus Christ. Her life exemplifies resilience and the ability to overcome challenges. She serves as a living testament to how adversity and difficulties can cultivate character, strength, and showcase the power of God.
Pastor Mobley’s mantra is “All things are possible to those who believe! My life changed for the better the moment I started to believe what God said about me! There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING too hard for him! Just believe!”
